Sarah Vining Marketing Consultant

Sarah Vining has an established profile across the cultural sectors in South Wales through her work in marketing visitor attractions and museums over the past twenty years.

She was appointed as Marketing and Communications Project Manager for Roald Dahl’s City of the Unexpected, a major outdoor event held across Cardiff City Centre, for which she was a finalist in the 2017 Chartered Institute of Marketing awards.  Other recent major contracts were as Project Manager and Tourism Consultant for Land of Legends, for Literature Wales and as Marketing Project Manager for Now the Hero, an epic site-specific theatre production on Swansea beach.

Her client portfolio is broad and includes three years of advising Dwr Cymru Welsh Water on marketing their portfolio of reservoirs across Wales, including the £3m redevelopment of Llandegfedd Reservoir Visitor Centre.

Sarah also has a prominent role in the UK’s STEM engagement industry, through her work with the BIG STEM Communicators Network and as co-founder of Cardiff Science Festival. In 2012 Sarah established SciEnts, a simple, high quality, “one-stop shop” for teachers and event organisers looking to book a science or maths show for their school, festival or corporate event. Sarah has recently been appointed to produce the National Eisteddfod’s science and technology events and exhibitions.
